Web Search Settings
Configure web search functionality for AI-powered web browsing.
Search Engine
Select the search engine to use when the AI needs to search the web:
Google
Standard Google web search. Best for general queries and English content.
Click Open Google Settings to configure Google search in a debug window (useful for logging in and setting preferences).
Xiaohongshu (小红书)
Chinese social platform search. Useful for:
- Chinese content and trends
- Lifestyle and shopping recommendations
- Chinese user-generated content
Click Open Xiaohongshu Settings to configure Xiaohongshu search in a debug window.
How Web Search Works
When you ask the AI a question that requires current information:
- The AI determines if web search is needed
- It formulates a search query
- Results are fetched from the selected search engine
- The AI analyzes the results and provides an answer
TIP
Web search is automatically triggered when the AI needs current information that isn't in its training data, such as recent news, current prices, or live data.
