Network Settings
Configure network connectivity and proxy settings.
Proxy Settings
Enable Proxy
Toggle proxy for all network requests.
When enabled, all API requests will be routed through your configured proxy server.
Proxy Type
- HTTP: Standard HTTP proxy
- HTTPS: Secure HTTP proxy
- SOCKS5: SOCKS5 proxy
Proxy Server
Enter your proxy server address (e.g., 127.0.0.1).
Port
Enter the proxy port (e.g., 8080, 1080, 7890).
Authentication
If your proxy requires authentication:
- Username: Proxy username
- Password: Proxy password
Leave these empty if your proxy doesn't require authentication.
Test Proxy
Click Test Proxy to verify your configuration:
- Tests connection to the proxy
- Tests internet access through the proxy
- Shows response time and your external IP
- Displays country flag for your proxy location
Network Parameters
Request Timeout
Maximum time to wait for a response (5-120 seconds).
Increase for slow connections or when expecting large responses. The slider shows values in seconds.
Retry Attempts
Number of retry attempts for failed requests (0-10).
When a request fails due to network issues, Alma will automatically retry up to this many times.
Custom User Agent
Custom User-Agent header for requests.
Leave empty to use the default. Only change this if you have a specific reason.

"Connection Failed"
- Verify proxy address and port are correct
- Check if proxy server is running
- Test proxy with another application (browser, curl)
"Authentication Failed"
- Verify username and password
- Check proxy server logs
- Ensure account is active
"Timeout"
- Increase timeout value in settings
- Check network connectivity
- Verify proxy is not overloaded
"SSL Error"
- Check if proxy supports HTTPS traffic
- Verify SSL certificates
- Try HTTP proxy type instead of HTTPS
