UI Settings

Configure the visual appearance and layout of Alma.

Appearance

Theme Mode

Choose how Alma determines light or dark mode:

  • Light: Always use light mode
  • Dark: Always use dark mode
  • System: Follow your operating system's preference

Font Settings

Font Size

Global interface font size (10-32px).

Adjust this to make text larger or smaller throughout the application.

Layout Settings

Interface Density

Control spacing and sizing throughout the interface:

Adjust the width of the sidebar (200-400px).

Use the slider to find the width that works best for your screen size.

Editor Settings

Configure code block display options:

Show Line Numbers

Display line numbers in code blocks.

Useful for referencing specific lines of code in discussions.

Word Wrap

Wrap long lines in code blocks.

When enabled, long lines wrap to fit the view. When disabled, horizontal scrolling is required for long lines.

Show Minimap

Show a minimap overview in code editors.

The minimap provides a bird's-eye view of the code, useful for navigation in longer code blocks.

Terminal Settings

Configure the built-in terminal appearance:

Terminal Font Family

Choose a monospace font for the terminal. Common options include:

  • Menlo (macOS)
  • Monaco
  • Consolas (Windows)
  • Fira Code
  • JetBrains Mono
  • SF Mono

The font list shows all monospace fonts available on your system.

Terminal Font Size

Terminal font size (8-24px).

Adjust for comfortable reading in the terminal view.
