Prompts Settings
Create and manage system prompts for your conversations.
What Are Prompts?
Prompts are reusable system instructions that you can apply to conversations. They help set context, personality, or specific instructions for the AI.
Creating a Prompt
- Click the Add button
- Enter a name (alphanumeric, hyphens, underscores only)
- Write the prompt content
- Click Save
Prompt Name
The name is used as an identifier. Use only:
- Letters (a-z, A-Z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Hyphens (-)
- Underscores (_)
Example: code-reviewer, translator_zh, creative-writer
Prompt Content
Write the system instructions for the AI. This can include:
- Role definition ("You are a helpful assistant...")
- Behavior guidelines
- Output format requirements
- Domain-specific knowledge
Using Prompts
Reference a prompt in your conversation by typing:
/prompts:prompt-nameFor example, if you have a prompt named code-reviewer:
/prompts:code-reviewerManaging Prompts
Editing
- Click the edit (pencil) icon on a prompt
- Modify the name or content
- Click Save
Deleting
- Click the delete (trash) icon
- Confirm the deletion
Reordering
Drag prompts by the grip handle (⋮⋮) to change their order.
Tips
- Keep prompt names short and descriptive
- Write clear, specific instructions
- Test prompts in different contexts
- Create prompts for common use cases you encounter frequently
