Version Information
Displays:
- Version: Current Alma version number
- Status: Update status (up to date, update available, etc.)
- Last Checked: When updates were last checked
Checking for Updates
Click Check for Updates to manually check if a new version is available.
Update Status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Up to date | You have the latest version |
| Update available | A new version is ready to download |
| Downloading | Update is being downloaded |
| Downloaded | Update is ready to install |
| Error | Update check failed |
Installing Updates
When an update is available:
- Click Download Now to start the download
- Wait for the download to complete (progress bar shows status)
- Click Restart Now to install and restart Alma
You can also choose Later to install the update next time you restart.
TIP
Alma will automatically check for updates periodically. You'll be notified when updates are available.
Feedback
Click the Feedback button to open the feedback page and share your thoughts, report bugs, or suggest features.
Unsupported Updates
On some platforms (like non-notarized macOS builds), automatic updates may not be supported. In this case, you'll see an "Unsupported" message and will need to download updates manually from the website.
